Murderer Attempted Suicide: Details on the Gyumri Murder Case

On the night of August 6, a report was received by the Mush Division of the Police from the hospital, stating that two men, aged 36 and 40, were transferred for medical assistance due to bodily injuries. It was also reported that 36-year-old Arshak Sardaryan had died in the hospital.

As a result of joint operational and investigative measures undertaken by the Police's Mush Division and the Shirak Regional Department's criminal investigators, it was established that around 01:00 AM on August 6, there had been a dispute between six men on Bulvarain Street in Gyumri, during which a 35-year-old resident of Masis had stabbed Arshak Sardaryan, who later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. He also stabbed and injured the hand of a 40-year-old man.

A criminal case was initiated at the Shirak Regional Investigation Department. While efforts were being made to locate the 35-year-old resident of Masis and other participants in the dispute, at 19:05, the Police's operational management center in the Gegharkunik region received a report from the Vardenis Medical Center that an unknown citizen had been admitted with “two laceration wounds to the forearms, self-poisoning by carbamazepine medication under question.”

The operational group of the Vardenis Division, along with a special forces group and investigation team, determined that the individual attempting suicide in a hotel in Vardenis by taking pills and cutting his veins with a razor was the 35-year-old resident of Masis. It was revealed that he had attempted suicide because he had stabbed and killed Arshak Sardaryan in Gyumri.

The documents prepared have been sent to the relevant authority handling the case.

Previously, it was reported that a murder had occurred in Gyumri.
