Armenia Receives Over 543 Tons of Humanitarian Aid Worth $8.2 Million in 6 Months

From January to June 2023, Armenia received 543.8 tons of humanitarian aid valued at 3,209.2 million drams (approximately $8.2 million). This information was reported by Arka.am, citing the National Statistical Committee.

In the same period last year, the republic received 851.8 tons of aid, amounting to 25,331.6 million drams (about $53.2 million).

During the first half of this year, the top three donor countries in terms of the volume of humanitarian aid provided to Armenia are France (with $973,000, accounting for 11.9% of the total volume, which is a decrease of 3% compared to January-June 2022), China ($963,000, with a share of 11.7%, down 26.9%), and the United States ($962,600, also at 11.7%, with a significant decrease of 94%).

The majority of humanitarian aid received by Armenia consisted of land, air, and maritime transport means (131.7 tons worth $352,700). In second place, in terms of volume, were plastics and products made from them, rubber, and rubber products (130.7 tons for $331,900), followed by textile products (66.2 tons for $1,248,200).
