Azerbaijan Uses Armenian Airspace for Flights, MP Claims

It is only imaginable what kind of impression we leave in the eyes of leaders of other countries when we say in government meetings that Azerbaijan wants to exterminate us, yet we are essentially helping them in that effort. This was stated by Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the Homeland faction, on her Facebook page.

“For about 9 months, Azerbaijan has held 120,000 people in a hostage situation, preventing them from receiving food and medicine, abducting citizens, and causing the deaths of children. This is the current route for the Nakhchivan-Baku flights. And this scenario has been ongoing every day since October 2021.

Whose airspace is Azerbaijan using for these flights? Our own. Let me remind you that Azerbaijan did not use Armenian airspace in 2014, and only in 2021, when Iran prohibited the passage of Azerbaijani military aircraft over its airspace, did Azerbaijan suddenly begin using Armenian airspace for ‘passenger’ flights. Can anyone guarantee that these aircraft are not transporting the weapons that later fire in Vardenis or are intended to fire in Syunik? Of course not.

It is only imaginable what impression we leave in the eyes of leaders of other countries when we say in government meetings that Azerbaijan wants to exterminate us, but we are essentially helping them in that effort,” she wrote.
