“The Heartbreaking Reality of Starving People is a Catastrophe”: Mkhitaryan
In Nagorno-Karabakh, more than 30,000 children and their families have been enduring an eight-month blockade and desolation. This was stated by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the midfielder of Italy's Coppa Italia-winning club Inter Milan and former captain of the Armenian national team, on social media.
Mkhitaryan pointed out that the residents of Artsakh are on the brink of starvation and humanitarian catastrophe, lacking life-saving medications, food, or other essential supplies. “The heartbreaking reality of starving people is a catastrophe that requires immediate action. Children need the end of this war to start healing and rebuilding. Humanitarian aid must be ensured with unhindered and principled access through the Lachin corridor,” he wrote.
