Comment by the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson on the Ill Patient from Artsakh
The spokesperson for Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on a report about an oncology patient from Stepanakert receiving treatment in Yerevan. The inhumane blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh has caused irreparable harm to the population.
On her Twitter microblog, MFA spokesperson Ani Badalyan wrote about this and reposted a Euronews report that tells the story of Vachik Babajanyan, a cancer patient from Stepanakert who is currently undergoing treatment in Yerevan.
“The illegal and inhumane blockade of the Lachin Corridor and Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan is causing irreparable damage to the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh. Behind all this are the real stories of 120,000 people, like this one. Each of these people suffers from the pain of being deprived of their homeland, family, and loved ones,” Badalyan wrote.
In the Euronews report, the cancer patient from Stepanakert expresses that he does not think about his illness and is not afraid of death; rather, he fears missing his home.
