Fake Posts Circulate: Strange Developments Surrounding the Smbatyan Family
We continue to witness incomprehensible developments surrounding Armen and Sergey Smbatyan, alongside a bizarre criminal prosecution. This was reported by lawyer Yervand Varosyan on his Facebook page.
“Since yesterday, various public figures have been receiving the same message from two different fake pages on the Facebook social network, in which they are offered to support the Smbatyans in exchange for some supposed vested interest. We declare that these cheap tricks have no connection, of course, to the Smbatyans. We ask our concerned compatriots to remain vigilant. The negative stance of society towards what has happened with the Smbatyans and the honest and spontaneous reactions of many figures in support of them have nothing to say to those attempting to discredit them in this way. They should just wait for their exposure and condemnation,” he wrote.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia announced that the criminal proceedings revealed that extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador A.S., his son, conductor S.S., and businessman A.P., presented a fake investment program worth 800 million drams for the construction of a multifaceted complex called “World of Books” to the Government of the Republic of Armenia in 2012, and fraudulently seized a 300 square meter plot of land, originally valued at 166 million 103 thousand drams, granted for free use to the “P.I. Tchaikovsky Secondary Music School” located at 36 Koghbatsi Street in Yerevan.
