Security Measures to Be Strengthened at Sochi Commercial Sea Port
Security measures at the Sochi commercial sea port in Russia will be strengthened. This was announced by Sochi Mayor Alexey Kopaygorodskiy on his Telegram channel following an operational consultation on water area security, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“An interdepartmental working group is improving the protective measures, taking into account the experience of other seaport cities in the Black Sea. We are enhancing the security perimeter of the sea port. Special attention is being paid to the quay complex,” wrote the mayor.
He noted that there are currently more than 2,500 small vessels registered in Sochi. “In the summer, this is a well-known transport for excursions and trips,” said Kopaygorodskiy.
Overall, according to him, the coastal area of Sochi is under surveillance, with approximately three thousand cameras installed there. “We are taking all measures for the safety of our residents and guests. Now more than 200,000 tourists are simultaneously vacationing in Sochi. We are ensuring a comfortable stay for everyone,” concluded the resort's head.
