More Than Half of Nuclear Weapons Have Already Been Imported, Says Lukashenko
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced that "more than half of the nuclear weapons intended for deployment in the country have already been imported and transported across the nation," but he expressed hope that it would be possible to avoid their use.
"Nuclear weapons are about security... God forbid that we need to use this weapon. I, however, hope that it will not be necessary," he said during a working visit to the Brest region.
"We will ensure our safety, taking into account the assistance of our friends," emphasized the Belarusian president.
