Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense Releases Another False Statement

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense published another false statement on July 28, claiming that the appropriate units of the Artsakh Defense Army suppressed the GPS navigation systems of civilian aircraft flying over Artsakh's airspace between July 24 and July 27, thereby creating a serious threat to flight safety. This was reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Defense's press service.

“The statement of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has no relation to reality and is apparently aimed at diverting the international community's attention from the humanitarian disaster caused by the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. It is worth reminding again that throughout the 2020 military operations and thereafter, it was the Azerbaijani side that systematically targeted the civilian infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh, blocking the Lachin corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supply lines, and restricting access to the internet and mobile communications,” the statement reads.
