The West is in Contact with Russia to Initiate Peace Talks with Kyiv: Military Expert

The West is establishing contact with Russia to initiate peace talks with Ukraine while simultaneously demanding compensation for the restoration of the republic. This was stated in an interview with URA.RU by military expert, former scout, and special forces officer, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, who has been awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Syrian Republic's medals.

“If we reach an agreement, they (Western countries) will command Ukraine, and it will then negotiate with us. Developments are already underway,” the expert stated.

According to Matviychuk, the West desires Russia to be defeated and wishes to lay out demands, among other things, to secure material benefits for Ukraine.

The former scout reminded that Russia has already announced its conditions for starting negotiations: the country is always open to them but subject to the preservation of its interests, of which the Ukrainian side is aware.

Matviychuk also noted that Kyiv has decided at the legislative level not to negotiate with Moscow.
