Vagif Khachatryan Given Opportunity to Contact Family
The International Committee of the Red Cross has announced that 68-year-old Artsakh resident Vagif Khachatryan, who was abducted by Azerbaijan on July 29 in the Lachin corridor, has been given the opportunity to contact his family. This information was shared by the ICRC on its Twitter account, where it previously reported that representatives of the Red Cross, including a doctor, visited the man on the same day he was arrested during his transfer to Armenia for medical treatment.
It is noteworthy that Vagif Khachatryan, a resident of Artsakh, was abducted on July 29 by representatives of Azerbaijan's border service in the Lachin corridor. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has announced that he has been arrested. According to the charges, Khachatryan allegedly created a criminal group that participated in crimes against the residents of the village of Meshali in the Khojaly region on December 21, 1991.
