Turkish-Transferred Soldiers to Return to Frontline: Pivnenko

The commanders of the 'Azov' battalion, returned from Turkey to Ukraine, will once again participate in military operations as part of the National Guard. This was stated by the commander of Ukraine's National Guard, Oleksandr Pivnenko, in an interview with the online publication Ukrainska Pravda.

He asserted that the 'Azov' commanders who were transferred from Turkey are not prohibited from participating in military operations. 'They are preparing and will be carrying out assignments, just like everyone else,' said the National Guard commander.

On July 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that agreements exist between Moscow and Ankara regarding the presence of 'Azov' militants in Turkey. One of the main agreements was for the leaders of 'Azov' to remain under house arrest in Turkey until the end of military operations in Ukraine, as part of the prisoner exchange process between Russia and Ukraine.
