Bayramov Meets with Erdogan and Turkey's Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jayhun Bayramov, during his visit to Ankara, met with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They discussed the developments occurring in the region.

The meeting featured an exchange of ideas on the countries' "bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as developments taking place in the region and around the world." Bayramov also met with Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

During their meeting, they addressed the agenda of "multilateral, bilateral, and regional cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and Turkey, including the current situation in the region."

Noting that the "Declaration on Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey" marks the beginning of a new phase in the history of the development of relations between the countries, Bayramov confidently emphasized that practical steps would be taken in the future to "expand the connections between the two countries." Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that he would "spare no effort" to further develop the existing relations between the countries, which share "common history, culture, and values."
