Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan has issued a statement regarding the deteriorating situation day by day.

The statement is as follows:

Dear compatriots,
The security and humanitarian situation in Artsakh is worsening by the day, while Azerbaijan is intensifying threats and restrictions against our people. The latest manifestation of this was the illegal abduction of Vagif Khachatryan, who is under the protection of international humanitarian law.

On the other hand, there is a noticeable activation in the international efforts aimed at resolving the situation.

Summarizing the interim results of certain processes carried out by us and specific international actors during these days, I plan to give an exclusive interview to the Artsakh Public Television in a few days. Through this, I will present the situation, risks, and prospects as openly as possible.

Subsequently, I will begin consultations with all active political circles to discuss our actions and make relevant decisions.

We hope that the genocidal policy carried out by Azerbaijan will be stopped as soon as possible through effective and strict international intervention.

At the same time, we are always open to discussing all issues peacefully and through negotiations to find solutions, but for that, proper international involvement and guarantees are also necessary.
