Photographs. Armenian Athletes Win Gold and Bronze Medals at European Youth Olympic Festival

The young Armenian gymnast Mamikon Khachatryan has won a gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival taking place in Maribor, Slovenia. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

In the final of the pommel horse event, the Armenian gymnast scored 13.966 points, securing the top position on the podium and earning the title of champion. Another representative from Armenia, Hamlet Manukyan, finished in fourth place with a score of 13.233 points. It is worth noting that Hamlet Manukyan also reached the finals in the rings event.

Moreover, Armenian team member Robert Gyulumyan has won a bronze medal in the floor exercises with a score of 13.066 points. Earlier, the Armenian team had secured third place in the team competition, accumulating 156.500 points.

The gymnasts are participating in the European Youth Olympic Festival under the leadership of Hayk Nazaryan.

The festival also includes cyclists Ani Gyozalayan, Alen Mirzoyan, Harutyun Israyelyan, swimmers Anahit Muradyan and Samvel Karapetyan, athletes Sofia Javakhyan, Vahe Arzumanyan, judokas Mher Ohanian, Razmik Galstyan, Arsen Badalyan, Andrey Andreyan, Hayk Darpinyan, Seyran Sarukhanyan, Syuzanna Manukyan, tennis players Sofi Gidachyan, Lilit Antonyan, David Poghosyan, and Mikael Avanesyan, as well as gymnast Marieta Buchakhchyan.

The European Youth Olympic Festival will run until July 29.
