Erdogan and Zelensky Hold Unscheduled Talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he is set to hold unscheduled talks with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan this evening to discuss food security issues.

“I plan to have talks with President Erdogan of Turkey this evening regarding the Black Sea region, food security, and other important topics,” he stated in his evening address published on Telegram.

Shortly after, Erdogan's office reported that the phone conversation took place at Zelensky's request. The leaders discussed in detail the extension of the agreement regarding the Black Sea grain corridor. Erdogan assured his counterpart that “Turkey is making active efforts to establish peace.”
