Dutch-Armenian Aslan Aslanyan Denied Entry to Armenia: MP
Another Armenian has been denied entry to Armenia today. This information was shared on Facebook by Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" alliance.
"Aslan Aslanyan is a citizen of the Netherlands who arrived in Armenia with his family. At Zvartnots International Airport, he was not allowed to enter the country, his passport was taken away, and he was kept at the airport for over 10 hours. He was then informed that he must leave because his name is included on the list of individuals banned from entering Armenia," she stated.
“In fact, there are two countries in the world—Azerbaijan and the Pashinyan-led Armenia—that maintain blacklists of Armenians. This is a recurring incident in recent times. I want to inform you that we are legally challenging all these unlawful decisions. There are already four court cases in progress on this issue.”
These incidents should not discourage our compatriots in the diaspora or cause them to distance themselves from the concerns of their homeland. Such decisions, lacking any legal basis, should primarily become a problem for those who make them,” she added.
