Heavy rainfall has caused problems in western Georgia. Georgian media report that the rivers in Samegrelo have flooded courtyards, leading to the death of domestic birds and water reaching the ground floors of homes. Water supply has also been damaged, leaving approximately 32,000 people in Senaki and Poti without drinking water.

The Khobiskali River has overflowed, damaging a main gas pipeline, completely halting gas supplies to Zugdidi, Khobi, and Chalenjikh. In Ozurgeti, courtyards and agricultural land have been flooded, landslides have occurred, and roofs of residential buildings, internal roads, and power lines have been damaged.

It is also reported that many villages are left without electricity.
