22-Year-Old Strangles Landlord with Iron Cord, Hides Body in Wardrobe

The criminal investigators of the Erebuni division of the police, acting on operational data and undertaking operational-search measures, arrested a 22-year-old resident of 7th Railroad Street on July 12 at 13:35 on suspicion of committing murder. This was reported by the police of the Republic of Armenia.

It was revealed that the 22-year-old had strangled his 44-year-old landlord, Vahan Yeghiyan, by wrapping an iron cord around his neck during a dispute that occurred on July 11 at around 00:30 in one of the houses on 7th Railroad Street, and then hid the body in a wardrobe.

An operational-investigative group has arrived at the scene. During the investigative action, the body of the 44-year-old man was discovered in the living room wardrobe, with the iron cord wrapped around his neck. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fact of murder.
