More than 186 patients await their transfer: Artsakh Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh has addressed the issue of the transfer of patients from Artsakh with serious health problems being blocked by Azerbaijan, as noted by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
“In the context of the ongoing blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan, as of July 11, Azerbaijan has again blocked the transfer of patients from Artsakh with serious health issues to the Republic of Armenia by the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the return of patients to Artsakh. More than 186 patients are awaiting their transfer to specialized medical centers in the Republic of Armenia to receive urgent medical care,” the statement reads.
“Currently, 33 children are receiving inpatient treatment at the ‘Arevik’ medical organization, four of whom are in the neonatal and intensive care unit. In the Republican Medical Center, 102 patients are receiving inpatient treatment, with five patients in intensive care, two of whom are in critical condition.”
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh is taking all possible measures to address the situation by negotiating with the International Committee of the Red Cross,” the statement from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh concludes.
