Gas prices will not change from August 1. This was announced today by Garegin Baghramyan, the Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), during a press conference.

“There was supposed to be a review process for the gas price before August 1. The exchange rate is only one factor that will affect the formation of that price. Of course, the exchange rate has had a positive impact, but about 70 percent of consumption is already benefiting from the decrease in the exchange rate, because the tariff set in AMD is only intended for the population. For the remaining 70 percent, a consumption formula has been established, and the absolute payments have already decreased monthly. In any case, a review is planned. We have a positive result from the exchange rate, and a decision has been made to implement an investment program based on that result,” said Baghramyan.
