Car Rolls Down Slope Near Cross at Mountain Peak in Gegharkunik, Driver Dies on the Spot

A car has rolled down a slope in the Gegharkunik region, resulting in the death of one person. This information has been reported by shamshyan.com.

It has been revealed that 75-year-old Ashot Kh. lost control of his "Chevrolet Niva" vehicle near the cross installed at the mountain peak above the village of Eranos. The car veered off the roadway and rolled approximately 200-250 meters downwards, ultimately ending up overturned in the gorge. As a result of the accident, the driver died on the spot.

Rescue workers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations found the driver’s body outside the vehicle and transported it to the morgue of Martuni Medical Center, thereafter disconnecting the vehicle's power.

A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department regarding the accident.
