Tree Falls on Car in Lori Province; Driver and Passenger Trapped
On June 27, at 14:09, a call was received at the Lori Regional Rescue Department's crisis management center reporting that a tree had fallen on a car in the town of Akhtala. Citizens inside the vehicle were trapped, and assistance from rescuers was needed.
It was determined that the tree had fallen on a "VAZ" vehicle near house number 10 on Tumanyan Street in the city. The road has become one-way.
Before the arrival of the rescuers, the trapped driver H. D. (born in 1953) and passenger E. D. (born in 1950) were extricated from the vehicle by local forces.
Rescue teams later removed the tree, allowing two-way traffic to be restored.
