Personally, Vladimir Putin Stopped the Bloodshed in Nagorno-Karabakh: This Is Undeniable, Says Zakharova
The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, responded today at a press conference to a question about the role of Russia in the cessation of the 44-day war. She stated that Russia's role in this matter is recorded in the document signed on November 9, 2020, by the leaders of both Armenia and Azerbaijan. “This cannot be questioned,” she said.
Zakharova further emphasized that the investigation into the 2020 war is an internal affair of Armenia, and all questions directed at Prime Minister Pashinyan are related to the results of the internal inquiry and the search for truth. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry highlighted that it was personally Vladimir Putin who stopped the bloodshed in Nagorno-Karabakh and that blaming Russia is "the work of the devil."
Zakharova also stated that Russia is negative towards the intention of Turkey and Azerbaijan to create a joint air control system. "The Russian side has repeatedly expressed its negative attitude towards this intention. Our position remains unchanged,” Zakharova said.
