Aliyev Has Set a Task to Implement Ethnic Cleansing and Forced Relocation in Artsakh in Short Terms – Ruben Vardanyan
Aliyev's regime has set a task to implement their program of ethnic cleansing and forced relocation in Artsakh in short terms. This was stated by the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan, on his Facebook page.
“Azerbaijan is tightening the noose around Artsakh hour by hour. The authorities of that country openly present their objectives – to dismantle the Artsakh defense army, state institutions, while simultaneously starving and putting 120,000 Armenians in a dire situation. They have set a task to implement their program of ethnic cleansing and forced relocation in a short period,” he wrote.
The informational campaign conducted against the Artsakh defense army shows that they are trying to leave us unprotected and disarmed. We all know from our painful history what consequences this can have for the Armenians living here.
I have repeatedly stated that both Russian peacekeepers, international partners, and the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh have definite responsibilities in preventing such a dangerous scenario. But I also want to talk about the actions of us, the people living in Artsakh. No matter how much we may feel alone, how hopeless and heavy the situation may seem, know that only through struggle and by not surrendering can we ensure a dignified life for ourselves and our children in Artsakh.
Over the past thirty years, Artsakh has faced many difficulties; many living here have seen three wars, pain, human losses, and atrocities. But there is an incredible strength in Artsakh that helps to withstand all of this. Today, truly superhuman efforts, exceptional vigilance, and sanity are required from each of us to prevent the implementation of Azerbaijan’s criminal plans.
Today we lost four more young lives. We, the living, owe them. We owe it to continue their work and keep Armenia in Artsakh,” he wrote.
