From Greece to Marseille: The Date of the Paris Olympic Games Torch Lighting Ceremony Announced

The route of the Olympic flame relay, which symbolizes the Olympic Games, was announced today, June 23, by the organizers of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The relay will begin from the rocky island of Mont Saint-Michel in France, covering areas from the Caribbean islands to the Palace of Versailles.

According to France 24, the torch will be lit in Olympia, Greece, on April 16 of next year. It will then be transported by boat to one of the ports in Marseille on May 8, traveling through 400 cities along the way. The torch is set to arrive in Paris on July 16 for the opening ceremony.
