Man Attacks Chinese Restaurants with a Knife, Several Injured

In Auckland, one of New Zealand's largest cities, a man armed with a knife has attacked Chinese restaurants. According to the police, at least four people were injured as a result of the armed assault. This was reported by Al Jazeera.

The incident occurred yesterday, June 19, in the late evening. Reports indicate that three of the injured individuals remain in the hospital, with doctors assessing their conditions as stable. The fourth victim has been discharged from the hospital.

Local media report that the man entered three Chinese restaurants and began to attack people. An eyewitness told a local newspaper that he and his friends were dining in the restaurant when the man launched his attack, delivering blows with the knife. “I tried to defend myself. He was also trying to target my head. I was in shock. We were really scared,” said the man.

Witnesses also stated that the man left the restaurant and walked toward another restaurant. Police arrested the alleged assailant on the spot, who is reported to be 24 years old.
