Grigor Minasyan Continues Business Activities? 'Pativinfo'
On May 16, 2023, the Minister of Justice of Armenia, Grigor Minasyan, presented his declaration of property, income, expenses, and interests for 2022, indicating that his share in the law firm 'A&M' was entrusted to a trustee, Narine Sargsyan, for three years based on a contract signed on January 14, 2022.
According to 'Pativinfo', in accordance with Article 31, Part 11 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia, the trustee of a share held by a public official or public servant in the authorized capital of a commercial organization can be individual entrepreneurs or commercial organizations.
The media outlet notes that Narine Sargsyan is neither a commercial organization nor an individual entrepreneur, as this should have been mentioned in the declaration if that were the case. Additionally, there is no record of an individual entrepreneur named 'Narine Sargsyan' on the website of the State Register of Legal Entities.
It is presumed that this refers to attorney Narine Sargsyan from the same 'A&M' law firm, who has been working there for several years.
'If our assumption is correct, then Grigor Minasyan has not only violated the legislative requirement to entrust his property to either a commercial organization or an individual entrepreneur by assigning it to a non-entrepreneurial individual, but he also has not effectively isolated himself from the management of his property. This is because he has entrusted the property to someone whose daily activities could be influenced at any time, either personally or through his friend Karen Andreasian's wife, Eva Arakelyan, the director of that company.
The listed violations indicate that Grigor Minasyan has likely continued his business activities after taking office, and a few days ago, it is reported that a petition was submitted to the Corruption Prevention Commission to investigate this matter,' the site writes.
