EU Observers Visit Construction Site of Metallurgical Plant in Yeraskh
EU observers have visited the construction site of the metallurgical plant in Yeraskh, which has been under Azerbaijani fire, as reported by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, on his Twitter account.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported today that two foreign citizens were injured during Azerbaijani shelling of Armenian positions in Yeraskh. They are Indian nationals involved in the construction work at the metallurgical plant being established through foreign investments.
Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry informed that on June 13, Azerbaijani armed forces shelled Armenian positions near the village of Yeraskh.
“As a result of the Azerbaijani shelling in the direction of Yeraskh, a civilian vehicle and another object were damaged,” the ministry stated.
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs later reported that on June 13, the Azerbaijani side opened directed fire towards the construction site of the metallurgical plant in Yeraskh.
“By shelling the construction site, Azerbaijan is demonstrating a blatant disregard for the internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Armenia, human rights, and international law,” the statement said.
