Will Trump Be Arrested Before His Trial?
Former President Donald Trump is set to appear at the federal court in Miami at noon local time, where he will face 37 criminal charges related to the retention of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida after leaving office, according to BBC.
It is expected that Trump, who is the first former president in the U.S. to face federal charges, will be arrested and taken into custody before the court hearing scheduled for 3:00 PM local time (3:00 AM Yerevan time). He is anticipated not to plead guilty to the charges.
This second indictment comes just months after Trump was charged by a Manhattan grand jury in connection with a financial case. Trump has denied any wrongdoing in both instances and has vowed to remain in the 2024 presidential race. He is expected to speak on Tuesday evening upon returning to his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey.
