We Are Considering Exiting the Grain Deal: Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the intention to withdraw from the grain deal, which is set to expire on July 17. According to him, the grain corridors are actively being used by Ukraine for launching maritime drones, as reported by Kommersant.
Vladimir Putin stated that Russia entered into the grain deal not for Ukraine's benefit, but to assist its friendly nations in Africa and Latin America. However, the deal's partners, as noted by the Russian president, have 'deceived' Moscow and effectively refused to fulfill its conditions.
'We are considering exiting the grain deal. Moreover, these corridors, through which the ships move, are constantly being used by the enemy to launch drones and maritime unmanned devices. If Russia withdraws from the grain deal, it will be ready to supply the poorest countries free of charge with the volume of grain that has come from Ukraine,' said the head of state during a meeting with military correspondents.
