Edmon Marukyan's Wife Appointed Director of Newly Established Arbitration Mediation Center in Armenia
Edmon Marukyan's wife, lawyer Tatev Matinyan, has been appointed as the director of the newly established Arbitration Mediation Center in Armenia. This was reported by News.am, citing its sources.
According to Matinyan, “The Armenian Center for Arbitration and Mediation will soon commence its operations, contributing to the encouragement of the investment environment, alleviating the burden on courts, and the development of alternative mechanisms for dispute resolution,” she stated on her Facebook page.
It is noteworthy that just days ago, the Ministry of Justice announced the opening of the Arbitration Mediation Center in Armenia. According to the ministry’s statement, Justice Minister Grigor Minasyan, the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Andrea Victorin, and the director of the “Center for Legislative Development” foundation, Tigran Dadunts, visited the construction site of the newly established Arbitration Mediation Center, where the newly appointed director Tatev Matinyan acquainted them with the ongoing renovation works, presented the reform process, the timelines for the center's opening, and the negotiation process.
It is worth mentioning that Tatev Matinyan is married to Edmon Marukyan, the president of the “Enlightened Armenia” party and a special envoy. Matinyan has been a member of the Armenian Bar Association since 2010 and has worked with various NGOs and civil society organizations from 2005 to 2019. She served as the coordinator of the legal department of the Helsinki Civil Assembly’s Vanadzor office and was the president of the Liberal Policy Institute.
