VIDEO: If You Want, Go Fill the Asphalt Yourself, Avinyan Got Angry About Potholes
During a working meeting in Yerevan, Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan addressed the heads of administrative districts and the head of the construction and improvement department of the Yerevan municipality, stating, "The more I say 'potholes, potholes'... I want to understand how long this will drag on," noted Avinyan.
The Deputy Mayor reminded that secondary pothole filling works are under the responsibility of the heads of administrative districts. "What do you not have? No finances? What is the problem? Who can answer this? For three weeks, Mr. Grigoryan, I am saying in Armenian - potholes, potholes. We need to build a metro in Ajapnyak. We haven't been able to fill a pothole in the city for a month. Then you will say this one did it this way, this one went and took a picture, I don't know what. We can't even perform our most primitive work properly," said Tigran Avinyan, adding:
"After the last meeting, I gathered all of you and said, ‘Dear people, I don't want to hear about potholes.’ This is the last week. It will be urgent, it will be from one person, if you want, go fill that asphalt yourself; another case was registered on Monday, don’t be offended by me."
