VIDEO: Attempts to Create Tensions Along the Border are Unacceptable and Unclear - Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, scheduled to take place in Washington.
He expressed hope that the progress achieved during the previous meeting in Washington would continue to develop.
"I would also like to emphasize that, especially after Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to recognize each other's territorial integrity, attempts to create tensions in various sections along the border are unacceptable and unclear," he stated.
According to Pashinyan, the next step must now be taken: to fix the basis for demarcation and to begin the actual work of demarcation and delimitation.
Speaking about the unblocking of transport and economic connections as outlined in the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, he stressed that Armenia is ready to do so on the principles of sovereignty, legality, reciprocity, and equality.
"Any corridor logic through the territory of Armenia is unacceptable. In this regard, I expect international partners to refrain from using provocative terminology employed by Azerbaijan."
