Car Rolls 50 Meters into Ravine in Syunik; Casualties Reported
On June 12, at 18:23, the Syunik Regional Rescue Department's Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident at the end of Vardavank village, with casualties confirmed, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service.
A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service was dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that a Ford vehicle (driver: V.B., born in 1984) had gone off the roadway and rolled approximately 50 meters into the ravine, resulting in the driver's immediate death.
Before the rescuers arrived, a passenger, H.G. (born in 1987), was extricated from the ravine by local forces. Rescuers then assisted the injured individual to an ambulance, which transported him to the hospital in Kapan, where he was pronounced dead. The body of V.B. was extracted from the ravine (approximately 50 meters) and transferred to a vehicle for transportation.
