Who Will Join Hayk Marutyan's Team: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports that former Yerevan mayor Hayk Marutyan has recently returned from tours; he spent a long time in the USA. One of his close associates revealed that he has started active work to participate in the upcoming elections scheduled for September. Although it is still unclear which party he will align with, he might register a new one, but he is already gathering a team.

We were given two names that could be included in the list headed by Marutyan: both are former members of the 'My Step' council — one is the well-known blogger Isabella Abgaryan, and the other is Ernest Avanesov, who regularly criticizes Tigran Avinyan. For instance, at the end of last year, near the ruins of 'Surmalu', he advised Avinyan saying, 'Why don’t you go to the Lachin corridor, cut ribbons, or announce that you are a candidate for mayor?'

However, yesterday, Avanesov stated that he had not had discussions with Marutyan, having last interacted with him during his time in the mayor's office, but he did not rule out the possibility of appearing on Marutyan's list.
