Ukraine Refuses to Resolve Conflict Due to US Pressure, Says Patrushev
The leadership of Ukraine was prepared to resolve the conflict with Russia but backed away due to pressure from the United States. This was stated by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, in a conversation with journalists.
“If it weren’t for the US pressure on them, this situation wouldn’t exist. Even the Ukrainian leaders themselves were ready to sign a peace treaty and were making written proposals to Russia, which we have fundamentally approved,” he announced.
Patrushev added, “Russia is not the ultimate goal of the US; they want to destroy or weaken Russia, but their main target is China, as the Americans wish to dominate the entire world, which will not succeed.”
