Azerbaijan's Trade with EAEU Reached $4.7 Billion, Says Asadov
The Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, participated as a guest in the expanded session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in Sochi.
According to the APA news agency, Asadov stated that the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with partners of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is one of Azerbaijan's foreign policy priorities.
It was emphasized that the fundamental vector of relations is trade and economic cooperation.
According to Asadov, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and EAEU countries increased by 31 percent last year, reaching $4.7 billion. The share of EAEU member countries in Azerbaijan's external trade turnover constituted about 9 percent.
It was noted that Azerbaijan serves as an important link in the transport corridors of East-West, North-South, and the Middle Corridor.
