Deadly Shooting in Yerevan: Victim Known for Criminal Background

On June 6, a murder took place in Yerevan involving the use of firearms. Around 10:10 PM, the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a call reporting the presence of a male body near Polyclinic No. 8, on the road from Baghramyan Avenue to Proshyan Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers discovered the body of a man with gunshot wounds. Based on the circumstances of the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under the features of murder in the Arabkir Investigative Division.

The police and the investigative division are working to identify the victim and are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions to determine the identity of the perpetrator and to recover the weapon used in the crime.

According to Shamshyan.com, several citizens gathered at the scene, who refused to speak on camera, claimed that the deceased was known in criminal circles as 'Gnunetsi Varazik'.
