Video: 'Don't Raise Your Voice', 'Don't Interrupt Me': Kocharyan and Khachatryan Clash
During a joint session of the parliamentary standing committees, a debate erupted between Arthur Khachatryan from the "Armenia" faction and the ruling party's Andranik Kocharyan.
"What Mr. Kocharyan said amounted to much more criticism of the police than I had anticipated. He claims that 6 policemen turned a blind eye to the violation, while only one intervened, meaning that according to Mr. Kocharyan, 6 out of 7 have no right to wear epaulettes... Why do you want to encourage that one?" Khachatryan said, addressing Kocharyan.
Kocharyan asked Khachatryan not to distort his words. "That's why everyone was changed," Kocharyan stated.
Khachatryan responded, "Changing everyone doesn't mean anything." Earlier, Andranik Kocharyan had recounted how police officers were 'tested' for exceeding speed limits.
