VIDEO. Before, Agvanyan used to say to me, 'hello, bright man', but now says, 'only over your dead body'. Aghazaryan
Member of the ruling Civil Contract faction, Hovik Aghazaryan, has shared details about his relationship with Agvanyan Vardan, a member of the Armenia faction.
“When I was a member of the ARF, I interacted with Agvanyan Vardan, and I held a very positive opinion of him—educated, prepared, perhaps a bit arrogant, which was probably due to his assessment of his own inner abilities,” Aghazaryan mentioned during a session in the National Assembly.
He recounted some incidents from the 1998 ARF Supreme Assembly, stating that there was a discussion on a particular issue on which he and Agvanyan shared the same opinion.
Aghazaryan explained that both he and Agvanyan spoke, after which another ARF member criticized their speeches. While Aghazaryan chose to remain silent during the criticism of his speech, he interrupted when Agvanyan's speech came under scrutiny.
“After that, every morning during our gatherings, Agvanyan Vardan would come and, in front of everyone, would say to me, ‘hello, bright man.’ Time passed, we continued to interact, and I met him at the National Assembly checkpoint, where I offered him my seat, and he replied, ‘only over your dead body.’
