VIDEO: Pashinyan Attends Opening Ceremony of EC's 4th Summit in Reykjavik
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, participated in the opening ceremony of the 4th Summit of the Council of Europe held in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. The event is attended by leaders and heads of delegations from more than forty countries. This information was reported by the Prime Minister's office.
At the beginning of the summit, the guests were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić.
Following a formal photo session, the opening ceremony took place, featuring speeches from the President of France, Emmanuel Macron; the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz; the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni; the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak; and others.
Prime Minister Pashinyan participated in a roundtable discussion on the theme of democracy. The work of the summit will continue on May 17.
It is noted that Nikol Pashinyan traveled to Iceland on May 15 to attend the Council of Europe summit. During his visit, he will hold bilateral meetings with international partners.
