One of the Key Points of EAEU Cooperation is Food Security, Says Pashinyan

Food security is one of the key points of cooperation between EAEU countries, aimed at protecting the population from low-quality and hazardous products. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Council at an expanded format.

“Today, the necessity of forming a collective food security system has sharply increased, and I find it essential for EAEU countries to be united for this purpose,” said Pashinyan.

He added that various formats of cooperation have been employed, and in 2022, mutually beneficial cooperation has also been established beyond the EAEU. Reports have also recorded the cooperation that has taken place with the Union’s main partners.

He emphasized the high dynamics of developing cooperation with Iran. According to him, the entry into force of the free trade agreement and its subsequent consistent implementation are priorities for Armenia in the context of expanding trade cooperation with third countries.

Pashinyan also spoke about the continuation of negotiations with India and Egypt. According to him, there is a comprehensive dialogue aimed at deepening trade and economic relations with the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.
