VIDEO: 'It was a disgrace.' Opposition members on the scuffle
Everything escalated after Arthur Sargsyan's speech from the 'Armenia' faction, during which he told judge nominee Armen Danielyan that he had violated his right to be heard on November 15, 2021, when he had been detained while he was in the Parliament.
"I am saying that you have made illegal decisions. You have made an illegal decision and detained me. You did not ensure my right to be heard because you did not have the courage to look into my eyes and detain me," he added.
The Speaker of the National Assembly invited security personnel inside, urging them to escort Arthur Sargsyan out of the hall. As the security staff forcibly removed the MP, he shouted, "Let me go, you will answer for this. Look at him, you jerk. I should enter, you shouldn’t take me out. He is telling me to get out of here, you jerk. You left this unanswered, that’s why it’s happening like this."
Journalists in the corridor directed questions to Arthur Sargsyan. For more details, watch the video.
