VIDEO: "I fully share the Prime Minister's opinions expressed yesterday," Simonian
At the start of the National Assembly session, Arzvik Minasian, a member of the "Armenia" faction, directed a question to the Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian. "Yesterday, during his long press conference, Prime Minister Pashinyan made a number of statements related to the interests of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and the Republic of Artsakh (RA), which require immediate discussions in the National Assembly. Is it possible to make those statements a subject of discussion during this session and to issue evaluations regarding the anti-state and anti-national approaches we deem concerning?"
In response, Simonian stated that MPs have the right to initiate discussions. Minasian responded, "Indeed, we have that opportunity, but as experience has shown, the majority has always rejected it. The regulations allow you to present an extraordinary message or a draft declaration, which could serve as an occasion to discuss these issues."
Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, said, "Present your initiative, and we will discuss it... If you are personally interested in my opinion, I fully share the Prime Minister's opinions expressed yesterday."
