On May 22, Nikol Pashinyan addressed his recent comments regarding the church and the response from the Mother See, expressing hope that all those who graduated from the seminary and held high-ranking positions presented sufficient arguments and evidence regarding their spiritual, physical, and even sexual health when they were admitted and graduated from the seminary.

“From that quote, I understood that some representatives of the Church have resorted to offensive language, but I do not intend to respond in kind. If my statements about the Church have created an unfortunate backdrop of accusations against many other clergymen who carry out their spiritual duties in a pious and honest manner, I want to apologize to them. I will not respond to your accusations with accusations of my own, because insulting political opponents is not the right genre. You see that I am trying to abandon that genre,” Pashinyan stated.
