VIDEO. Turkey Sets 3 Key Political Demands for Opening Border with Armenia: Khachatryan
In response to remarks made by ruling party lawmakers that Turkey is unwilling to open the border as it would contribute to Armenia's economic prosperity, such claims are simply laughable. This was stated today during a press conference by Arthur Khachatryan, a member of the Armenian Parliament from the 'Armenia' faction.
“Turkey has closed the border and has put forward political demands that it has repeatedly mentioned. These include the denial of the Genocide, recognizing Azerbaijan's sovereignty over Artsakh, and establishing a land connection between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan through Armenia—essentially a land route for Turkic-speaking states from the Bosphorus to the west of China. Nothing has changed, and for this reason, they are ready to apply previous pressures and to impose new pressures,” he emphasized.
