Nearly 2,000 protesters are set to gather today along the ceremonial route to stage a demonstration against the coronation of Charles III. This information has been reported by the Daily Mail.

It is noted that the police have already started arresting individuals carrying anti-Charles III placards. British authorities are also anticipating protests from eco-activists.

The publication further reports that security during the coronation will be provided by 11,500 police officers, while 10,000 military personnel are expected to participate in the ceremony, with snipers already stationed on rooftops.

Recall that Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, who reigned for over 70 years, passed away on September 8, 2022, in Scotland. Prince Charles became king, taking the name Charles III, while his wife, Camilla, received the title of queen consort. The coronation ceremony for Charles III and his wife is set to take place today.
