The Recent History Should Be a Lesson for Armenia, Expert on Aliyev's Statements

Armenian expert on Azerbaijan Tatevik Hayrapetyan shared a Facebook post stating: "An event titled 'Formation of Geopolitics of Greater Eurasia: From the Past to the Present and Future' is taking place in the occupied Shushi. The dictator of Baku, Aliyev, delivered an opening speech at the event. I present the main points of his speech:

The recent history should serve as a lesson for Armenia. 'The peace treaty' is primarily needed for Armenia, and it will also be beneficial for us, as we want to close this chapter. The trilateral statement was neither a ceasefire declaration nor a peace treaty, which is why we created an agenda by raising the issue of the 'Peace Treaty.' If Armenia were to reject our proposal, they would be viewed as unconstructive, while accepting it was difficult, as they should then adopt normal behavior thereafter.

In Armenia's latest proposal regarding the 'Peace Treaty,' we again saw territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Their attempts to put the Republic of Artsakh, which does not exist, on paper is unconstructive. We have our place in the new geopolitical context, but Armenia does not have its place. This once again confirms that Azerbaijan is not offering a 'Peace Treaty' but rather threatening with it.

Instead of dialogue and negotiations, they employ military force, pressure, close the Lachin corridor, encircle 120,000 people, forcing the Armenian authorities to recognize Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan and jeopardizing the lives and physical existence of our compatriots."
