Peaceful protest: Tents set up on the road to Shushi
A peaceful protest has been organized by the initiative group 'No to the Ethnic Cleansing of the Republic of Artsakh' on the road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, where tents have also been set up.
Representing the youth initiative group of Artsakh, participant Davit Bagiryancalls upon all of our compatriots from both political and non-political sober forces to join our protest under the banner ‘No to the ethnic cleansing of the people of Artsakh.’ We are located on the section of the road from Stepanakert to Shushi that connects Artsakh to Mother Armenia. Our protest and demand is for Azerbaijan to remove the illegally installed checkpoint in the Berdzor area. This action will continue indefinitely until our demands are met.
It is worth recalling that on December 12, a group of Azerbaijanis closed the Shushi-Karin Tak section of the Stepanakert-Goris highway under the pretext of 'environmental' reasons, starting at 10:30, violating the vital interests and rights of the civilian population. As of today, the road remains closed.
